For today…August 31, 2009

Outside my window…a delightful reprieve from the heat & humidy.

I am hearing…chirping crickets * the quiet of early morning

I am remembering…a productive weekend of cleaning & gardening * morning chats on the front porch with famly * bouncing on the trampoline * dinner with friends * 4H night at the county fair

I am thankful for…being home * a clever husband who can fix just about anything * family Bible study

Around the house…fresh veggies from the garden * remnants of yardwork on the porch * dog hair to be vacuumed off the floor

I am readingUnto the End by Isabella Alden & Truth War by John MacArthur…still

I am hoping…this cooler weather will continue until the AC is fixed * Jesus returns for His Bride soon!

From the learning rooms…order Driver’s Ed curriculum * finishing up vocab & writing * classroom cleanup * PSAT sign ups

From the kitchen…tomatoes to can * okra to freeze * more experiments with bread machine * Asian turkey cakes * something with ground beef * menus for the rest of the week

One of my favorite things…fried okra!  Can I get a witness?!

A few plans for the rest of the week…insurance claims *  lessons, cleaning & cooking * pick up Grandma at the airport * a day trip to West Virginia to meet sister-in-law   🙂

Scripture on which to meditate…”For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.  For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, ‘The just shall live by faith.'”
Romans 1:16-17

A funny picture to share…tasty puppies!
