For today…December 22, 2008

Outside my window…the first hint of morning light, it is blustery and frigid!

I am hearing…the furnace warming the house and the clicking of the coffee pot as it cycles on.

Around the house…pets curled up in their cozy, warm beds.  My son tucked into a blanket on the couch reading book two of the Kingdom Series.

From the learning rooms…planning meetings for each child’s lessons this week.

From the kitchen…Judy’s Toffee Bar Crunch Biscotti!  Thanks, Judy!

I am remembering…lots of family ping-pongs games, Chinese take-out dinners, a lovely gathering of friends, father & son marksmanship practice, a mother & daughter sewing project, and family worship.

I am pondering…what God thinks of Christmas.

Scripture on which to meditate…”Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.”
(James 1:27)

A picture thought to share…why Jesus came.
