34729688_iwogimaIn 1775, in the Tun Tavern in Philadelphia, a committee from the Continental Congress met to discuss the formation of a marine battalion that would fight for our burgeoning nation on land and sea.  The resolution that this committee created was approved on November 10, 1775, the birthday of the Marine Corps.

Last weekend, my husband and I, joined hundreds of Marines and their families to commemorate the 233rd birthday of the United States Marine Corps.  These brave men and women volunteer to stand and protect the freedoms that we, of the United States of America, hold dear.

On this anniversary, please join me in praying, not only for the Marines, but for all  service personnel who defend our country.
